Please make contact via the Contact Page if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The first contact will be a call to make a date and time for an intake session.
An intake session is where I will see the young person and the parent/guardian to get a sense of the issues that have prompted their referral to this service. I also explain the services that I provide to can get a sense of whether this will be a good therapeutic fit for their needs.
A treatment plan will be discussed after the initial intake if further treatment is consented to. Informed consent for treatment will be discussed and will be required to be signed prior to the sessions commencing.
With each child or adolescent there are varying circumstances that have lead to a referral to counselling and therefore the length of time in counselling for each young person differs.
Mental health is a complex and diverse area. At times, your child or adolescent’s therapeutic needs may be outside of what I can provide and I will make recommendations accordingly if warranted.
The referral can be closed if there are two sessions missed in succession without notice being given.
I am located in the week at Dawson Business Centre located at 15 Dawson St South Ballarat Central. I work weekdays only from 9-6.
Telehealth can occur outside these days if deemed appropriate for the child/adolescent.
