REFERRALS AND FEES

Referrals can be made by parents/guardians, the young person’s GP via a mental health care plan, or professionals working with the young person. Please be aware that if a referral has not been made through a Mental Health Care plan full fees may be applicable. Professionals may consult with me about the types of payment accepted.

A referral via a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from a GP allows for up to 10 planned sessions per calendar year. Lionhearted Counselling also work with private paying, self-managed NDIS clients and Victims of Crime Funding. LHC no longer accepts TAC funding. 

This is not a bulk billing service. Fees are $150 for 50 minute sessions and  $170 for sessions involving EMDR. Clients are entitled to a $82.30 if they have a mental health care plan. 

 Young people under the age of 15  will be listed on their parents/guardians’ Medicare card, so we ask for the family Medicare card number plus the individual reference number that appears next to the relevant child’s name and the guardian's name. 

I appreciate 24 hours notice prior to the appointment commencing for cancellations.

A cancellation fee is applicable if 24 hours has not been given.
